Xdeep or Oxycheq?
« on: 24 Jan 16, 23:44 »
Hi I'm considering the Xdeep Zeos or Oxycheq bp/w bcd. Anyone using these can comment on quality n ease of use? There are shops selling and servicing these here which is why I am considering getting them.Thanks.

Am using the Oxychey (18lb), only the wing while other parts are OEM/brand.
bp/w system are good as most are exchangeable. Since only using one brand, cannot comment on the other but I like the colours of Oxcheq wings and slim wing.

Hi trekdive, thanks for sharing. Can i clarify that you have the oxycheq wing which is 18 lb lift? Is this enough? Thanks.

From a purely subjective and aesthetic view (since I don't own either brands), Oxycheq is colourful but Xdeep looks professionally cool. I have had the Zeagle Express Tech (horseshoe-shaped wing, in storage now), UTD sidemount doubles Z-system (sold it) and currently using Frog Indigo (bought the wing only). 18lbs is good enough for single tank backmount for recreational open water dives. You can buy just the (any brand) wing, get a more affordable alu backplate, 2" nylon webbing (3m more than enough), all the metal parts and rig up your own wing (like I did). But if money not an issue, I'd get the Xdeep. :)

May I know who sells Xdeep locally? I want to get the Xdeep Stealth. Thank you!  :)

Yes, 18lb is enough for me, Asian build(~65kg), single tank. Small so wing not like big butterfly. And I use 0 to 1 weight(depends on my fin) on Alu bp.

Wing and b/p can mostly inter change although some have diff nut holes. Other wings brand are diverite, light monkey, hog, hollis,...and many more. Just note that some wings don't have slots for cam band to go thru so will need adaptor(I think light monkey don't have). B/p almost never spoilt unless u run it over, the webbing can wear and tear after yearsss.

Not sure but do note that light monkey might need the STA adaptor. Do check.
