  • Renscubaworx was clearing stock for the Halcyon Eclipse with blue and yellow wing for $999 sometime back.

The wings do not have slots and require a Single Tank Adapter(STA) which is provided in the package. The STA is held on by bolts and wing nuts and is made of stainless steel. This adds some weight.
Im told the STA provides stability, but I've not tried a system w/o a STA so I cant compare.

The inflator hose is shorter than on the usual jacket style BCD and there are no pockets to put your barang barang. Only have 1 D-ring on each shoulder strap, one on the left hip and 2 on crotch strap.

I believe the aluminium backplate weighs about 2pounds. So you can remove a weight from your weight belt. But then again, you're gonna be lugging the weight around with you.

If the govt is going to keep referring to foreigners as "Foreign Talent", Im going to market myself as a "Local Prodigy".

  • Yellow and blue? That's interesting. My understanding is that halcyon in this color combo are meant for rental markets. Black with blue trim wing is nice, but mc pak with blue trim?? Not nice.  :P

Call me old fashion.. But imho, i think all self respecting tech divers (or wannabies) should have equipment only in black!! LOL  ;D ;D ;D
So they call it a 'FACT' coz someone made some statements on a 'FACT SHEET'? hummm...

  • True. The blue/yellow combination are gaining popularity mainly in EU. Hardcore or more traditional tech divers swears in wearing black only...
