Hi... am really angry with myself today.  >:(

The inflator on my Halcyon BCD is 'leaking' air to the bladder even without the buttom being press. So I decided to replace it with a cheaper plastic type OEM inflator.... only to find that the so-called 'standard' size is too small for my inflator hose... Should have take my old inflator down to the shop !!  :P

Anyway... was I just disassemble the inflator an hour ago. Only to find that there isn't much rust anywhere inside the inflator (rusting is the main reason this problem happens). I clean up the inflators parts and grease up the 'O' Ring. But there is no way I could check to see is everything ok now. Therefore.... do anyone here knows of any servicing centre that could check and if necessary... repair/service the parts ??

PS... decided to bring back the new inflator to exchange for goods.  :-X

Self inflated bc is normally caused by the o-ring in the inflator. A simple servicing and change of o-ring will do. Cheers.

Barter maison is the agent but no longer operated by James.  And I dun think they sell 'service kit' for the inflator.  I think u can just go buy from o-ring shops using ur old ones as sample.
So they call it a 'FACT' coz someone made some statements on a 'FACT SHEET'? hummm...

Hi all.... already talk to Barter Maison's staffs regarding my problem....

1st - They don't have stock of 'O' Ring now.
2nd - Servicing & Testing of BCD Inflator is $25 SGD (not sure got GST or not)
3rd - While I did clean and applied a new layer of Silicon Grease (Ikelite owns)... There's no way I could test... or be sure that its now in good working condition.
4th - There's two really tiny 'O' Ring inside the inflator thats really really small... don't think it will be easy to find.
5th - Some UK internet Dive Store does sell replacement 'O' Ring for 4 UK pound.... but the cost of sending the 'O' Ring over is $$$$.... and I still can't test the inflator to make sure its working  :P And no.... don't plan to go for a dive trip or back to Outram Pool just to test  ;)

Will also talk to Diveshop@sg regarding pricing.....  ;D

Thxs for all suggestion and pointers  ;)
