    Alvin, That is great info.. wish we all had the time and patience to do all that cleaning and rinsing after each dive... I simply do a few dives in the Ocean... then make sure the next few dives are in the fresh water caves.. and Voila! Gear is rinsed.. :-)

    • BC maintenance is no easy task, it's going to take up your time and your patience to bring back your used and dirty BC back close to the state when you first bought it. Wear and tear will take their toll on your BC but if you maintain it as often as possible, then you have nothing to worry about.

    haha! but one would then have the gunk and silt from the cave stuck inside and outside the BC! haha! Even better is to take the BC for relax dive in the pool after a trip! hahaha! :P

    • Just wanted to bump this thread especially on pre-check.  I was recently going on a dive and thankfully did a precheck and realized I had a valve rip.  *better to find out that you have a rip before you're out on your dive*

    After opening up the bladder realizing that after 10 years the whole interior had begun do disintegrate.  :)
