Those who got no problem with their D series Suunto Dive Computer, I happy for all of u. Thatís the way how a dive comp should be, RELIABLE ! Unfortunately, some of us just unlucky to own a defeet set. But consider good that Suunto always honor their warranty, usually they do 1 to 1 exchange if beyond repair.
Since D4, D6 have mentioned, I like to add in my D9 experience.
It happened 4 yrs ago, when it was so new less than 2 mths old, during a dive of itís 2nd dive trip. Suddenly it keep beeping, and appear some funny funny digit like one moment I was at 25m, then go down to 60m then 10m, it just keep jumping around.
After surface, what happened to my D9 was like phantom76 said, it still registered that I was diving, going deeper and deeper, after donít know how long it stopped then go blank. So I know itís gone & keep it in drawer. Next morning when I take a look at it again, this was what happened to my D9.
I sent back to the dive shop where I bought it, and got a replacement after waiting for about 3 mths.
