  • I have an answer for the strap problem (some models only for now)
For the D6 / D6i, and the older D9's you can buy an adapter for them at "http://www.tibby-adapters.com"
so you don't loose the watch, or have to make a dash to try to get it in deep water.

  • My D6 is now a digital watch for land use only. Digital compass and depth sensor are both non-functioning. Can't send back to Suunto since it's a prototype. Served me well with the most strap changes in it's 4-5 years of usage.

  • Unless its covered under warranty, I would buy something else.

I know I get about 20-30 e-mails daily to ask if my Company makes an adapter for the D4's yet (but we don't)
If your set on Suunto, buy the D6i, and get the sapphire face so it doesn't scratch so badly, then buy a set of
Tibby-Adapters so you don't loose it when the watch strap fails.

    Cheers
