Thoughts:

Prefer the Shearwater Petrel due to it's interface being easier to use. Buttons easier to press, Ability to shut down the computer. Slightly more detailed dive log. Battery compartment easier to open and close as well.

For the OSTC sport the pros will be it's one of the cheapest oled computers out there. compared to the shearwater petrel 1, you have a smaller form factor, compass, more choices in terms of colour scheme for dive display and metal body construction compared to the delrin of shearwater.

Compared to normal dive computers, the advantages are user upgradebility, AA battery, bright and easily viewable screen esp for night dives. Plus for the OSTC sport it's pretty competitive in terms of pricing.

Thanks Alvin for the review! It was enough to convince me to give it a try :D

Hi Alvin

I am looking to get an OLED dive computer with air integration for tech dive.

Noted that you have tried LiquidVision Kaon and Xeo. Was wondering whether you have tried the LiquidVision Lynx?

I think this is one of the very few tech dive OLED dive computers with air integration around, apart from Suunto Eon Steel & Oceanic TVX.

thanks much in advance!

Philip
