DAUIN June 2017
« on: 14 Apr 17, 20:30 »
Hello! I'm looking for more divers to join my group of 3 for a 6d5n, full board, 16 dive package from 11 -- 18 June. The price is incredibly cheap (~850 SGD), and will be even cheaper if at least one more person joins us!

Diving in Dauin is mostly muck and macro, although according to the resort, there are daily trips to Apo
Island at no extra charge.

The only exclusions in the package are gear rental (500php per day) and marine park fees (a few bucks per dive). Night dives are also at no extra charge, although torch rental is of course not included and the marine park fee is most expensive for a night dive (300 php).

I think this is a really good deal! So please let me know if you're interested! :)

No, this is not the world famous Apo reef. It is Apo island, 30min by boat from Dauin. It's part of Dumaguete, which is neighbour to Cebu in the Visayas.

But Apo island is a fantastic dive site for corals, schooling fish and too many turtles.

Have a look at the video I shot 6 years ago.

Dumaguete is an OK place to hang out and have some cheap drinks and food. Diving is quite good - don't expect the big stuff unless you make it to Apo Island (unfortunately the day we were set to go mother nature had other ideas).
