  • Haha cos we've been asking around about gear, etc. Gian to buy la. Btw I got a UWL-105AD lens second hand in the end (was "too" cheap to turn down). Looks like you're going to have to go solo to Scubacam. Don't mind going with you if you want though. Keen to hear about your maldives trip too.

  • With the exchange rate now, this titanium knife might be good.

Jason, you are buying this? Good price for a titanium knife, might want to get this as well.

  • DIN: Got a knife already so not this time round.

I did buy their promate mask. For 24 bucks it hard to beat! It comes out of the same factory as the sherwood Rona (a 100+ bucks mask), same exact features just badged differently, the other mask looks very much like the Oceanic Shadow but I'm not 100% sure Shipping is only a few dollars and if the auction runs out, be patient wait for the next cos the seller just keep refreshing. :)

I don't mind getting this knife but then again I already have two which I didnt even bring with me most of the time. Maybe I shouldn't.

Jordan: paypal is your friend. If item does not reach you lodge a claim through paypal and see how things go.

  • Actually I dun see how a folding knife can be useful underwater. Need to use it.. try to find in pocket.. and if u have not drop it and actually try to unfold it.. u'll have to hope its not suck in its folded position..  ;D

I use to buy stuff on ebay.. some cost a few K. While paypal offer certain protection, its not 100%.. I last bid for a marine part costing $800.. i never receive it and had problem contacting the seller.  I filed a case with paypal and got my $ back (some exchange loss).  I was lucky, but I can see things getting messy for other cases.  Of coz, thru the years, I've successfully bought stuff totaling many thousands from ebay with only 2 unsuccessful transactions.  One I got the $ back.. the other is still in US, shipping issue.. so have to pay and ship again and I dun quite bother.
So they call it a 'FACT' coz someone made some statements on a 'FACT SHEET'? hummm...

  • cut myself when i was younger with a folding swiss armyknife
might be tricky to open u/water and also with gloves
this means needs 2 hand operation - problem if 1 hand is doing something else
