Personal Info
This is one of my most favourite divelight... Small, light... uses easy to buy AAA batteries. And one of the most important thing, doesn't get hot above water... which mean that you could use it as a normal torchlight at night without fearing the the LED might burn out. This light produce a narrow beam that allows user to see farer but not wider...

Got this light 2 years ago... but found using C size batteries troublesome. Even when there are AA to C size adaptor... somehow... I still don't quite like it. But it does produce a nicer and bigger hotspot than the AquaStar.

Love this light for its small size and clicky switch to turn the light on/off. But using the less common 18650 batteries could be a problem for some users.

Personal Info
While not as powerful as my other divelight... Its cheapness is unbeatable. You could get AA size batteries anywhere in the World and using a lever switch meant you won't risk flooding your light should you keep twisting your light, trying to turn it on. The one thing that is no good about this light... there is a huge Halo surrounding the hotspot. Some diver might not care... but I prefer lights that produce an even beam.

Strongly recommend divers get this as a backup/secondary divelight...  ;)

Personal Info
Note... haven't got the chance to test this light underwater yet. No way I could tell will it drown or not on the very 1st dive. Found this light selling on ebay one fine afternoon... The internet company selling this light is from HK... which meant that this is most likely a CHINA MADE and DESIGNED light. Soild like a rock... heavy too. If you need a hammer to crack open chili crab at the Dive Centre/Resort... I think you could use this light. Not sure how it compares with the SOLA 600... but as you can see, my whole livingroom has been lited up.

Since I only got this light yesterday (as of time of writing)... don't have time to do a good check (will update here when I can). But the O-Ring isn't the kind I'm used too... and their silicon grease is 'brown' in color...  :P

Might replace all those colored O-Ring if and when I could....  :)

Update 27/09/11

Bad news.... brought along this divelight for my Manado trip this Sept and tested it to a depth of 30m. I load in the 2x 18650 batteries and kept the whole divelight inside my BCD pocket. And I didn't bring it out till after the dive.... my thinking was "If it floods, it floods... nothing can be done"... but something else happens.  :(

As you can see... some part of the Aluminium body had chipped off... reason unknown. The end cap had suffer from what we believed to be electrolysis... paint and metal 'burned' off. But surpisingly....

... the divelight still works after battery replacement. We believe that maybe there is a battery leak and that electrolysis occurs with the metal and the saltwater... causing the metal to peel/melt off. We know this because the fully charge batteries was greatly weaken after the dive.

Due to the weakening of the metal body... I strong doubt this divelight is safe to be use again underwater...  :(

Camera Setting

Personal Info
Solid divelight... love that clicky switch which is 'smooth' in operation. While not really heavy... I find it kind of bulky due to its thick body. Again... using common AA size batteries is a big plus. Having 2 mode is also useful when you don't need so much light to blind someone or some poor creature.

Update (9th Nov 2011)

Was inform by Cruiser that inorder to get the dive torch to go into Strobe mode.... all the user have to do is to hold down on the on/off switch for a few secs. Thxs to Bro Cruiser for this info.  :)

Small but rather powerful light. But I have problem loading batteries into it. Ikelite could have design a better loading system. This too... would make a good backup light for those "Just In Case" moment...

Another well made divelight... but of course, its Scubapro. One really funny thing... I open up the torch to load in C size batteries... saw that big spring coil at the bottom of the tube... naturally, I load in the battery with the "-" towards the spring. Screwed on the light emitter... nothing happens. Tried again, same thing... tried it in reverse, "-" towards the emitter and "+" towards the spring... the light starts to shine  :P While isn't really an issue... did wonder why Scubapro can't lable the inside with a small "+" or "-" ???

Hollis has proven that you don't need tons of high power batteries or a huge light to make a divelight shine. I'm totally impress with this mighty little torch. Fit nicely in my palm, thick enough to hold comfortably. And using just 3 AAA size battery... throws out a real powerful beam. I'll stick out my head here and recommend this as the best backup light so far. Would buy one myself just for its small size and power.... I think I kena BBB virus again ;D

Personal Info
1st off... this is a focusing light for U/W camera... NOT really a divelight. The 5x AA battery power 44 old fashion LED 'blub'... which is pretty weak. For the 'long range' test... the camera could see nothing (but the human eye could). At 2 metre... there's nothing but a weak glow that is too 'bluish'. But as a focusing light for Macro photography... its weak lighting could be good in not scaring shy creature at night.
