  • Think the most common way and cheapest (no such thing as cheap though) is through Manila.

  • anyone keen for Palau 29 Jan - 05 Feb 2011?

There's 2 of us now and looking for 4 more buds to get some discount...still researching good deals though, otherwise it'll be with www.expeditionfleet.com for now.

Price will be roughly sgp5k incl flight, all discounts will be shared equally.

  • You could try a few things.  Sam's tours are well known, as are fish'n fins.

Other option is liveaboard, I think there is a Palau aggressor and also Ocean Hunter.

As for marine life, Palau is supposed to be world class with one particular spot (blue corner) frequently referred to as the worlds best dive site.  Lots of big things, especially sharks.

I doubt it will be cheap though and could be pretty scary, reef hooks and hanging on are the order of the day.

As for getting there, Manila then Continental airlines to Palau.

  • Book your SG to MNL flights yourself ...but get the Palau operators to book the Air Continental flights from MNL-ROR for you. They get a better price compared to if you tried to book it via the Air Continental website

Just got back from Palau ... with a LOB with the Ocean Hunter III.
If it is within your budget ... the Ocean Hunter III  is a wonderful way to dive Palau

  • The prices are on the ocean hunter website
    http://www.oceanhunter.com/n/OH-III/Prices.html
We did a 7 nights LOB ... all in all probably be prepared to spend S$5K +/-

As we went during the low season ... there was additional 15% off the listed price.

I have my travel blog here ... if you are interested
