Sardine run!!

  • Anyone went to see the sardine run before? I guess its one of the ultimate dive trips for all divers! hope I can go and see it at least once in my life time..

  • why not? watch it from a distance? the ocean has good visibility

  • Personally.... I'm not too sure just anyone could dive during the Sardine Run....  :-\

    1) The sea state isn't so good during that time of the year....
    2) Sharks and other big predators are known to shadow and attack the sardine during this time...
    3) Even seabirds are known to shoot through the water at great speed to hunt the fish (NG Mag).
    4) Lots of fishing boats with large nets....

    The few divers that saw such a great sights of natural are really the lucky lot....  ;D

  • i just googled it and there are people offering dive trips to see the sardine run! but its gonna burn a very big hole in everyone's pockets lol

    Now thats ultimateness man! When I find sunken treasure in tioman, I might consider, maybe  :o

  • Go with DPG if you really wana see the sardine run. They hv aerial cameras to watch for any surface sctivities.
