Scuba Diving Destinations > Singapore & Malaysia
Where is your favourite Malaysia dive spot?
Tim:
This is by no means an exhaustive list. There are plenty more destinations off the coasts of East Malaysia.
So if you've chosen "Other"... tell us which one. Thanks!
thomssi:
Well it was sipadan when you could reliably dive there.
Lankayan was very nice and probably the best accommodation of any dive resort I have seen.
Borneo Dreamer:
Hi,
I've only ever dived in Sabah (Malaysian Borneo). Best diving I did as a recreational diver was when I sent on holidays to Layang Layang & Sipadan - amazing drop offs. I dived at Sipadan when you could stay on the island and enjoyed seven diving days and many, many dives here. Still a fantastic place - just go when it's a quieter time to increase chances of getting more permits for Sipadan.
I have since moved to Sabah and, based on our experience running diving trips from Kota Kinabalu, would say the three large WW2 wrecks in Usukan Bay are worth a visit too.
