I just came back from Tioman. I dove there last weekend. Weather wise last fri and sat is rainy day but still manage to go out dive. For me i feel that now is time to dive there coz season opening alot underwater creature still before they been scare away by diver or snorkler. We saw 3 shark at rengis, big cuttle fish, some bumphead, a school for yellow tail traverly and etc. My 2 cent opinion hehe.

Cheers..... Enjoy your dive.......

Cheers... Thanks for the info everyone... Was thinking of going before it gets too crowded with the full open season...

DIN:
I just got back from Dayang yesterday. Weather was fine, except for the slight drizzle on Sat. Not much of a current and water condition was fairly good, although its gets slightly choppy in the afternoon at Lang but nothing to worry about.

We get to witness a school of mating cuttlefish, probably more than 20 of them, engaging in their annual love festival. It was quite a sight because we were literally in middle of the mass courtship or cuttlefish orgy or whatever you wish to call them. Some curiously horny female cuttlefish even got too close for comfort. They were so close that you can touch their tentacles and it just feel so awkward getting stared at, by a female cuttlefish. Lucky thing none of us has the cuttlefish face or sotong face. Otherwise, getting face f**k by a cuttlefish must be one hell of a slimy experience. :P

On Sunday, I had one of my best Dayang dive at Rayner's Rock. In a 35min dive, I saw schools of bumphead, tuna, yellow tail, barracuda, shark and almost everything there is to see at Dayang minus the whaleshark. The other two divers in front saw a school of 4 sharks but I am happy just to see one and its big too!

While on the surface, we even managed to snorkel a bit to check out the schooling barracuda and shark underneath, keeping us occupied throughout. Visibility was surprisingly good, I would say its more than 15m even at 25m. It was slightly choppy and there were current on the surface though. Other than that, it was all good.

hee, i just came back from tioman, salang.
was there from 10 mar afternoon to 13 mar morning.

started raining 10 mar night and throughout the next 2 days. (very heavy during the night and on and off during the day)
visibility was not good, becoz no sun, the sky is totally grey
but on the morning i'm schedule to come back, the sun came out .....  >:(
but wind is still very strong, so the boat ride will be choppy
