Actually, if you felt sick on a rocking boat even after you took the pill in the morning, than resort is a better option.

Usually once I take the pills I'm quite ok. Unless it's under those super rocky conditions towards the last few dives when the power of the pill wears off,  that's when the queasy feeling sets in.

Noticed that bigger the boats more $$$ ... pay more money less discomfort I guess?

Thanks for the advice guys!

sara!:
well, have to admit that i was so prone to seasick. however, i love liveaboard since it brings me to far away dive sites, those middle of the sea sites with wonderful viz. yes, you can reach them from mainland, but eventually you need to take boat ride to reach it anyway, and day-trip boats are usually smaller than liveaboard boats, and the trips are more tiring as well. so, liveaboard for me anytime! good thing is that my body has toughen up now  8)

anyway, i usually felt seasick on the first night. most often i didnt take any pills, just be sure that when i felt i was gonna throw up, i quickly went to washroom. after that, usually i felt better. then i just lied down and relax, not worrying too much. tried to sleep and let my body adjust itself. the following days usually were fine.

in any case the boat is rocking and rolling, look at the horizon. fresh air helps. avoid inhaling smoke from boat engines. do not read. if you are chatting with somebody, do not look at them. well, may need to tell them that you are trying to avoid seasick, so you'd prefer to see the horizon than seeing the person's face :)

good luck and have fun!
