Two things have altered not
Since first the World began
The beauty of the wild green earth
And the bravery of Man

I used to use Vpost but now I switch over to CGW.

I bot my Hollis wing for US$214 from leisurepro and Friendly Water, some DC in town, quoted me S$600++++ for it. I was like wait long long before I pay that kind of dough.  ???

Hi guys,

Need some help for those familiar with CGW.

I used to use vpost, and tried CGW once.

I'm using it again this time because I want to use dhl/fedex for this particular item, but realize it's a bit different from vpost as I don't have a way or have to inform them to expect some package for me.

Is that normal?

And, how is the repack/consolidation service?
If good, then I might consider to buy another item from ebay and consolidate it together.

Thanks for any advice!!

For CGW consolidate doesnt mean they pack all together, when you rvd ur items, it will be seperated package, and if you ship all items all together it was cheaper this way, as one of the items will buffer the 1st 0.5kg cost which is around 11 usd,
rates here:
http://www.comgateway.com/2012/service-supportprime-shippingratesFuel.do?l=en&c=SG
so the rest of the weight will charge at around US$ 2.85 each, which will be cheaper den shipping it one by one.
oh btw DBS and POSB bank got promo free upgrade to express and 5% discount till 30th Jul, just pay by this bank debit or credit card

if your items  volumetric weight is > 2kg than actual weight den they offer to repack
http://www.comgateway.com/2012/service-support-repack.do?l=en&c=SG

this option is especially useful if the vendor always got the habit to pack in big box, ie, amazon, scuba.com etc
