Scubapro Products sold through non authorized web sites or dive shops will not be supported by Warranty,in the case of overseas dealers selling via the web this is contrary to Scubapro's dealer agreements for in-country sales and you may have to return a product to the place of purchase for any warranty claim.Products sold by Local dealer are supported by the local Distributor.

  • I had a talk with the Admin just now....

Agree with Alvin to make this a sticky thread.... but a reminder to Gavin_DiveShop@sg... do not post anything into members sale thread even if they are selling Scubapro products, unless you plan to buy.

ScubaSG Forum had always support the rights of all seller and buyer of this forum. Till selling parallel import is a crime in Singapore... we will allow it.

Any form of 'notice' or 'reminder' posted on the seller would be considered as an harassment and I would delete such posting. Any thread you start yourself regarding warranty of your product, is greatly welcome. It would also be good if Singapore's official Scubapro Importer could spent more time here educating members about buying official and parallel import.

  • Are you sure or not? How can Diveshop@sg be selling parallel import BC. They place much importance on authorized goods leh.

    MAY I ASK?

Why are u selling Halycon products which you get from a so CALLED UNAUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTOR? If you want the diving community to support local Authorized dealer or distributor, i guess u should set an example and  get your 'H' stuff from the right source.

  • Let's all cool down... While I think some may have had bad experiences with "authorized distributors" and better experiences with "unauthorized distributors", end of the day - it depends on the circumstances each time and there are no guaranteed
    Pros or Cons either way..

What I do believe is that we each are free to make our own decisions and sharing of information is a good thing. However, as diver-hloc has stated quite explicitly, there is no need to put "reminders" on posts of people selling parallel imports. Such actions IMHO disrupts the harmony of scubasg community. For all you know, buyers on those threads could be getting better service than the "authorized distributor" can provide. Only time will will tell.

And just like there are proponents and opponents in shark fin soup debate, let's all agree to discuss in a civil manner and not appear to be challenging one another (unless its a "my torch is brighter than your torch" discussion- in which case... Please go ahead and lets have a showdown!)

  • My experience with SCUBAPRO authorized dealer:

Bought seawing nova fins from them in 2009 (lifetime warranty back then), after about 1 year it broke in the hinge. Brought back to the shop, they say must send to scubapro for investigation bla bla bla, waited about 2-3 months and after repeatedly asking them then they give me new seawing nova. Used it for about 6 months, broke at the hinge again, brought to them, waited another 2 months before they gave me new one also after keep asking them.

Though in the end I kept getting a new replacement fins, will appreciate it if I don't have to wait several months in between.

I believe nowadays seawing nova is not lifetime warranty anymore? hahaha
