Anybody is able to advice on the average/market price for servicing - 2 Octopus + Stage 1 + 1 guage and 1 BC.

Rumours have it as a bomb bill to had it all serviced, therefore, i am reluctant to had them all serviced, my priorities are my Scubapro S600 and MK25.

1) If anyone knows how much it cost to service all the dives gear (2 Octopus + Stage 1 + 1 guage and 1 BC) please advice me.

2) Otherwise please share the average or market cost of servicing Scubapro S600 and MK25.

3) I am also confuse by shops charging it as a set or $X for servicing with and witout spare parts. What exactly does Servicing include?

PM me if you can recommend a good dive shop that offers resonable price for servicing dive gears.

Cheers!

  • Metalgod, you might want to go to Gavin at Diveshop@SG. I don't have a regulator & BCD yet so I don;t have any personal experience to share. However Diveshop@SG is an authorised Scubapro retailer and I have been there to buy scuba gear and his pricing is reasonable. You can call him to check.

  • Not to take busy away from shops but please don't pay someone to service a bcd. They really don't need it. Whatyou save there, spend on getting your reg serviced properly.

Yes, do not skip servicing your regulator. It is an essential piece of life support equipment. For the BCD, check that there isn't any wear and tear or problems that will affect its function. If so, you will still need a shop to fix or replace the failed part.
