That's really sad. It was a very nice dive site..

A questions to ask. How does Indonesia feel about a Malaysian vessel going into Indonesia waters to salvage a wreck?

It is sad, and it is good to remember it as it was.

Now THAT's how you deal with poachers! Indonesian navy blows up illegal foreign fishing vessels in spectacular fashion after confiscating ships and arresting crew

Given by how they deal with illegal foreign fishing vessels, I hope they send a stern message to illegal scavengers!

The problem now is that you fight all the way down to 40+m just to see something for few minutes and need to come up due to NDL limit, it is not worth anymore. I didn't go for the trip last weekend, met the divers when they are back, some divers described the wreck now as a rectangular box with 4 walls only. The superstructure was blown off and taken away, the main deck flat portion was also blown off and taken away, left with a big hole in the middle.

I was told that last week the 7 Skies Wreck visibility was very good and current was low, would have been a good dive but unfortunately it is no more dive able for recreational divers, only for Technical divers now.

The question is not what a wreck looks like at 40 meters - the simple fact is that no LOB operator in Singapore can live off technical divers, the most I have seen was about half a boat being technical and half recreational. A wreck that deep makes no sense for the average diver, so boats won't go there anymore. Singapore lost it's best spot for whale sharks... and it won't come back - unless the salvage boat gets sunk at the same spot. How about that? The crane on it would make a nice dive site.
