  • Saw quite a lot of nice pics from Philippines dive spot in the Show Off section?
Im quite tempted to go Philippines for Diving.

Any spots to recommend for an amateur diver?
When is the best time to go Philippines?

I know that there's subic bay, Anilao and Sogad bay.
R they near each other? And what are the stuffs to see there?

  • All are away from each other.

For philippines, you have anilao, puerto gelara, malapascua, tubbataha, apo, dumaguete amongst others. you usually have to travel a fair bit to get to different spots.

  • For Subic Bay and Anilao, you have to fly to manila and travel over land for a ouple of hours.  For Sogod Bay, fly to Cebu and then ferry and over land.

Other dive destinations are Puerto Gallera, Malapascua, Tubbataha an I believe many more.

May to November is when typhoons occur over the pacific.

  • Thanks both!
Which dive sites would you recommend for a first timer/ amateur diver?
I guess i can only go next year then.

How far from Manila or how long does it takes to go to Subic Bay and Anilao from Manila?

Subic Bay are mostly deep wrecks i think. Anilao will be good for beginners, lots of sites to choose from with a whole range of resorts as well.
