Don't even think of going around Oct. I went last Oct. Vis is really bad...

Hmmm normally pple will skip Oct trip as the monsoon is starting soon so best time to go its Mar - Late Sept

Thanks for this. We have now decided to move our trip to April next year. Crossing fingers that the weather in the Perhentian Islands will favorable by that time.

October is still fine. The islands usually close around mid-November for monsoon.

In fact late October can be very nice with calm seas and great vis. Higher chances of spotting friendly giants too.

Too bad, I've already booked a flight to the Philippines for October, not to dive but to attend a friend's wedding, well if time permits, I'll do some scuba diving on the side. Heard that the Philippines has tons of beautiful diving spots as well.

Just back from perhentian. Sugar wreck is quite good dive spot.

buay tahan take 8-9hrs of bus ride there . how much does a seat on  firefly  cost??
diving bout same as redang but minus the crowds?

Perhentian is pretty good but I've concluded its not worth the travel. Takes forever getting there and back

Hi guys, where did you board the return trip to Sg from? Jerteh or kota babru.me and my friend is currently at perhentian and we r not sure we can board on jerteh or we need to travel to kota babru to board the transnasional coach for the return trip. Anyway pinnacle really a nice dive and its really has great visibility this week..
