Just got myself the Sony UW case for the rx series.
Man is it big.
Wondering how veterans here carry a similar sized case?
Check in your hardcase luggage? Will it survive the luggage dumping by the airport handlers?
Or just dump it in the hand carry so it looks like you’re pregnant?
Thanks!

compact cameras are pretty small in the grand scheme of things actually. For me personally, i use a cabin luggage for housing, ports, strobes, lights. I then also hand carry a camera shoulder bag for camera body, lens, hard drives, batteries and laptop.
Canon 5D MK III
Canon 100mm L Macro, Canon 16-35mm L, Canon 8-15mm FE, Nexus Housing
Sony A7R2, A6300 Sony 90mm Macro, Nauticam Housing
Inon Z-240 Strobes, Weefine Video lights, FIT Focus lights

My camera and lenses are transported in a lock lock case protected by bubble wrap... and carried inside my clothing bag as carry-on... the underwater casing along with the strobes and parts (sycn cable + clamp + charger + tools for maintenance + misc stuffs) are squeezed into a mid size pelican hardcase for check-in... lastly, the arms (float arms) + one Dome and one Macro port is put into my dive gear bag and check-in too...

Total weight including clothings.... 40+kg... dive gears + camera gears alone is over 30kg....  :(
