yeah seems like most people using it.

But is there anyway to secure it? I bought from Fun-in too and used for my trip.
It fell off when i back roll into the water and luckily able to retrieve it at the coral.
found out the gopro tripod mount crack at the bottom. i assume i over tightened it.

now I am trying to find other way to actually secure it so even if it ever fell over again, it won't drop all the way?

I have something like this....

http://www.divervision.com/howshot-ball-adapter-for-gopro-housings-AD-GP.html?search=gopro
Canon 5D MK III
Canon 100mm L Macro, Canon 16-35mm L, Canon 8-15mm FE, Nexus Housing
Sony A7R2, A6300 Sony 90mm Macro, Nauticam Housing
Inon Z-240 Strobes, Weefine Video lights, FIT Focus lights

Thanks Alvin.

Yes I know about this. I was thinking of extra thing to secure. E.g. If this happen to broke for whatever reason, it least it doesn't drop all the way down.

Hey guys.. Im new here~
I am student taking my OWD next week and im on the road to dm/itc prog (internship)
I am reaaaally wanting to get something to record my newly found underwater adventure so i thought a go pro would be a good option because I have a SLR but hell, the uw housing is insanely expensive. I found this deal and the dude (after much coaxing and negotiation) has lowered his price to $400..
He has used this for 2.5 years, he says its still in great condition and is selling cause he is upgrading to a pro set.

It's a hero 4 black.. after consulting google, i couldnt find a better deal for a similar OW set.. i think this set is as "full" as it gets..

I would like the advice of fellow dive seniors here before i make a big leap to purchase this..
ps, i know $400 may not be alot of money to some, and this set is def. more then $400 but as a poor local student, i dont wanna buy anything on impulse. i just wanna have some opinions  :D

Good deal for 400 actually. The only thing lacking is probably the LCD screen and the back door for it...

Well.. being as to see very much helps.. and you will learn to keep still... And follow the action. But if your 'aim' is good... Then maybe you will be fine... :)

One more thing... I think the red filter is a bit iffy.. but maybe it's just the pictures...

Mmmmmm, if you're really on the way to doing higher levels of dive education i think this part can wait first since you have not done OWD yet even. Nowadays any decent operator will have DM/Instructor who will likely have a gopro or something similar to record your trip.
Maybe concentrate on learning the skills first and photography/videography can come a bit later?
