frankly trying to do macro on a gopro is like trying to make a cat bark like a dog.

the gopro has a fish-eye lens, and gopro put in alot of time and money to make it sharp and wide. then we try to do macro with it? you might eventually get decent macro footage, but it'll be pretty expensive and unwieldy. might be better off with a compact instead.

Hi Alvin

Curious, what settings are you using for those 2 shots?

Hi Alvin

Curious, what settings are you using for those 2 shots?

I saved the settings i wanted on one of the custom buttons. basically using microscope mode and the fill flash on. in this mode, depending on where the lens is zoomed in at, you can shoot at a setting of f/14, 1/100.

Here is mine with Gopro 4 black. Just messing around when i was bored with shooting stills. Tried the macro mate in bali before this trip and didn't like the results. was using for most of the macro videos the FIT +10 macro lens. Even then you can see the magnification for macro on a gopro is pretty poor. Was hand holding the gopro and with the other hand an FIT 2400 lumens video light mostly set to low power.

Hey Alvin, what settings were u using for that vid? 1080p 60FPS Mid (POV)?
