  • I just got a Canon 550D for the HD video DSLR that it shoots.

I have yet to see any underwater footage shot on them.

Do share if you have any videos or links even if it's shot on a 5D Mark 2 or 7D or even on a point and shoot cos they actually pretty good videos too.

Will share some of mine soon.

  • Looks like no underwater video heads here...yet.

Like to keep this thread going because I know a lot of photographers are tempted to move to video since DSLR cameras have started to shoot amazing HD videos.

Here's a sample video I found from Nauticam who recently launched their underwater housing for Canon 7D and 550D.

    Enjoy...

  • Saw this on YouTube that might be of interest to you. This is shot on Powershot D10. It is not mine, just random video on YouTube. Do you think this is HD quality?

  • Don't remember D10 being able to shoot HD video.... more like 640x480 in size only.  ???

To be in 'HD'.... the size must either be in 720p (1280x720) or 1080p (1920x1080). Currently, not too many PnS camera can do that. And Housing/Casing for DSLR are just too $$$$  :P

I'm waiting for Canon to update their G series PowerShot.... hoping that the upcoming G12 would have better ISO control and HD Video... won't mind if it also have a 1:1 macro mode  ;D
