Photos are all bluish

  • Just returned and using a Sony rx100II for shots at 20+ metres. However all the photos turned out rather bluish. I was using the auto setting, and the display indicators turned red. Any special settings I should have used? Was it my eyes playing tricks o the red indicators? Theses are usually white indicators. Thanks!

  • At 20m, the water column has filtered all the reds from the spectrum. You need an artificial light source like the camera's internal flash or external underwater flash (strobe) or video light.
