Have bought from Scubatoys & Leisure Pro. Leisure Pro will only ship to the US (info correct as of Nov 09)...

LeisurePro---you can add 'they don't ship to any hotel in california either'. i called them, they said it was ok then a while later they said their security dept said "NO".

Good sites to get GUL wetsuits, etc
GUL is a great company known for that and have nice rashguards too
Not too ex (less than sgd 150) and my buying experience was great with fast shipping. Delivery costs were halved cos it was 2 pcs purchase with same ship costs (25 pounds for two!)

They ship everywhere as long as you do a wire transfer. Even here... they wont' accept CC.

I buy EVERYTHING on internet! Always cheaper. Or is it that Singapore is freaking expensive?

Recent buy: Carbon 42 Regulator 575 USD.
Suunto Vytec with Trans.... etc.

Under 400 SGD == no GST.

www.scubastore.com == excellent service and fast shipping. (my fav.)
www.leisurepro.com (good service)

i agree with scubastore.com is good as i've bought a posiedon 1st stage before. fast via DHL and clear ordering process online

would recommend to be more careful with 'critical' equipment (regulator, bcd, computer) as u need to consider how to get them serviced, warranty claims etc. other less critical items like slate, pockets, booties, just buy buy buy since now the USD is down =)

some people go further to look at OEM or china/hk stores (e.g. scubapro could be cheaper there)...

i think in Singapore shops struggle becaus rental isn't cheap and customers don't buy gear on regular basis. imagine buying a bcd then coming back 10 years later! they probably should add value through customer service like having open house, gear configuration workshop, etc.

btw i noticed scubastore.com they adjusted prices recently which i suspect is due to USD dropping
Apeks regulator 40 XTX and Octo was 390+, then 407 then now even higher!

http://www.divegearexpress.com now has regulator deal and canister light deal!

Scubastore is good. But they have adjusted their price up due to the exchange rate. They are based in spain so guess it cannot be helped. I just bought a scubapro reg from them for about US$70 lesser before the adjustment. Phew ;D
