I rem there is a few in the area. Got Aqualung, another shop near haji lane that sells only scubapro. One more near beach road, mostly selling seac fins. U can try to google dive shops (or keywords relating to scuba diving, when u are ard beach road area) and there will be a few red dots indicating the dive shops. All within walking distance but a li'bit shag to walk and visit all shops (thats what I did lol  :P ) . Can travel to parklane Oceanic too.

Gotta be REALLY careful with The Dive Company and their irregular business hours. I've had 3 incidents in which I try to go during a regular business day for them but once there, the shop is just closed with no notice about why they are closed (eg. I get there at around 6:15 and the shop is supposed to open until 7).

The 3rd incident was really frustrating (to be fair I was reaching a bit close to the closing time). It started raining really heavily as I was on my way there and managed to reach at 6:45pm. Initially I was just relieved to reach in time as I had 2 specific pieces of gear to buy and thought it wouldn't take more than 10 minutes. But as soon as I entered, the person manning the shop just gave me a black face and said curtly, "you have 3 minutes because my taxi is arriving soon." Even when I did manage to grab one of the items, they still gave a really impatient face when I was paying. What the heck, man. Your shop is still 15 minutes from closing time and your customer clearly ran in the rain to reach your shop and that's the kind of attitude they show? So that's it for me. I am never going back because The Dive Company is so unreliable with their business hours it's as if they don't really want the business. They basically just open and close whenever they feel like it. Waikiki is my top pick; they are really well-stocked with everything and the shop is pretty easy to get to.
Liveaboards scheduled this year: Similan & Surin Islands (Mar), Komodos (Aug), Raja Ampat (Nov). Lemme know if you're headed to the same areas.

Amazing Dive is somewhere around the corner from Waikiki, near the bridge to Lavender MRT @ ICA. If you're into underwater photography, Fun-In SG is near by too, on the second level of Blk 1.

just my 2 cents worth ... i think its a good idea to call the diveshop or any other shops first before going down to tell them you are reaching around what time. It is just a 1 min call to save you a long journey down. I am pretty sure they will wait for you if possible, or if not, they will tell you to come another day. Just bulging in near closing time is like your boss handling you work when you are about to leave for home. How do you feel ? Put yourself in the shoes of the service staff.
