Hello guys back from my Redang trip with Coral Redang.
I think Coral Redang is worth it, the rooms are really good, compared to Redang Kalong. I would gladly pay for the price difference. The rooms are spacious, furniture is new, toilet is spacious, the beach is really beautiful, the water is so clear, not too crowded in the resort - i would say around 40% are divers when i was there. Food is good, i do look forward to the soups daily. Nearby there's also a famous beef noodle shop that sells out by 5pm, so skip one lunch for it!
One thing to note though, there is no wifi in the rooms, only at the lobby. But then again, if you are diving 3 dives a day, there's no point for wifi. I bought a Celcom simcard and barely used it.
Dive-wise, I actually managed to dive with the brothers, AB Lee and Tim. They were the owners of Redang Kalong and AB Lee is still the owner of Diver's Den. Very seasoned divers, professional, the equipment looks new and very well-taken care of. Feels like a tight community. They even taught me how to clean my own BCD, reg etc (i just bought them during ADEX 2017).
Dive timings if i remember correctly is 8:30, 11:30 and 3pm, usually if we are coming from singapore we will only be able to make it for the 3pm dive (even if you take the 9am ferry from Shah Bandar Jetty). Night dives are a min of 4 i think, and you need to request for it in advance.
What else have i missed out? Let me know. Definitely will plan a trip again in 2018 with them!
