Hi All,

Kindly advice diff between Go Pro Hero 3 and 4 (silver/ black).

I think 4 has a higher resolution but only 3 have the built in touch screen?
Kindly correct me if wrong?

No sure if the higher resolution on 4 black is significant for underwater vids.

The hero 4 silver has built in screen.
Imo...  It's the best gopro for uw now.  Cost wise and quality wise.
Unless u super hard up on super view on 4k and 2.7k.

Been shooting at 1080p..superview. More then enough.

Yes.  Hero 4 silver is touch screen

Infact.. All the hero 3+ onwards.  Screen are touch screen.  Distinguish by the black color of the item.

Hi Guys,

Been searching this over the internet, but none reviewing still photo for Gopro Hero 4 Silver Vs Hero 4 Black.

I know it's stupid question as GoPro wasn't meant for still photo, but wondering if there any difference between these two when taking a photo?

#I think once in a while I want to take photo with GoPro underter.

Thanks,
Kebo

I am not sure but both take pictures at 12mps.  I think if there is a difference in pic quality, it will not significant.  Anyway, i once saw a guy on my dive boat pick up a 'dropped' gopro from some dive site in tioman.  When we checked the SD, the ex user had 2600+ photographs and 24 videos.  What the....!!

its easy to get 2600+ picture... using time lapse...

anyway.. the gopro only has f2.8. that is for all the 3+/4 version.

can take a picture.. u need lots of lights.. a very steady hands... and sometimes tell people u are taking an 'artistic shot'

Those 2600 pictures were not timelapse LOL.  So there are people out there who use gopro mostly to take pictures.
