  • Hi,

Wonder how many of you uses socks for both full foot and open heels without booties? I know that most new fin straps are of great material and will not cut or cause much abrasions... :)

Apart from helping to keep the warmth, is it sufficient to maintain the thermal temperature?

experienced bare foot doing shore dives using full foot fins without socks...like hell.

    If yes, what is recommended?

Actually, i using socks for my full foot fins, to protect me from my heels abrasion.

Not much difference from booties and socks if you talking about both are 3mm neoprene.

For shore dives its depends, unless you are a frequent diver at tulamben, which you need to step on the huge rocks. Might be painful.

For dives, you can wear a booties while walking to the boat, and change to socks.

    Hi,

Would the wearing of the socks cause your full foot to expand?

Its not just for Tulamben diving but shore dives where rocks and coarse sand is experienced....
